Journal Method: a loose structure, not a rigid rulebook

Some people prefer short checklists, others write brief narratives. Both are fine. We focus on consistency of attention rather than perfect formatting.

Core fields

  1. Context: where you are and what is happening.
  2. Breath: rhythm and depth in simple words.
  3. Inner tone: calm, restless, focused, scattered, mixed.

Example: concise entry

“Kitchen, 07:40. Breath shallow and quick. Mind jumps to task list.”

Example: descriptive entry

“On bus, standing. Breathing became slower after two stops. Inner tone moved from tense to neutral when I stopped checking messages.”

When to skip logging

  • During unsafe situations that require full focus.
  • When writing increases stress instead of clarity.
  • If privacy cannot be preserved at the moment.

Method FAQ

Can I use voice notes instead of writing?

Yes. The method is medium-agnostic; keep entries clear and brief.

Should I interpret every pattern?

Not necessarily. Sometimes plain observation over time is enough.
